The Department of Biology at Long Island University, Brooklyn campus is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant or associate professor to begin September 1st, 2019. The department seeks candidates that can establish externally funded research in genomics. Applicants are expected to contribute to teaching core departmental courses such as general biology. Applicants will also teach upper-level courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels within their specialty. Applicants must have a PhD in related fields. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a record of postdoctoral training, recent research publications, and excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Salary is commensurate with degree, experience, and qualifications. Long Island University also offers an excellent fringe benefits program.
