Sr. Specialist, Supply Chain

The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing Supply Chain group. Reporting to the Norwood Supply Chain Director, the Senior Specialist will be responsible for all stock material purchases at the Site level. As the Norwood manufacturing Facility expands production capacities, including insourcing PCV, plasmid and buffers, we will have more production trains and materials to be purchased. This role will be responsible for handling the day to day interaction and communication with vendors related to purchases orders.

Here's What You'll Do:
  • Establishes requirements for external suppliers and processes approved purchased orders to ensure on time delivery of the agreed quantities for all materials requirements.
  • Confirms delivery dates and ensure documentation before shipment (domestic and international).
  • Ensures the corrects lead times and prices in SAP.
  • Runs the Open PO report to communicate arrivals for Logistic team on a weekly basis and ensures proper documentation from vendors for domestic and international shipments.
  • Runs the OTIF report on a monthly basis to follow vendors performance and support the Supplier Steering Committee.
  • Handles the day to day communication with vendors related to Purchases orders and negotiations.
  • Works in partnership with Procurement team to negotiate and ensure savings targets.


Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, business or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain Operation or Procurement, from Planning until customer delivery; 2+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience in an operation of a highly-regulated industry, like Pharmaceutical or another related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple topics in a fast-paced environment and deal with different stakeholders from different domains in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically think and identify solutions.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and MRP/ERP systems and experience in SAP implementation.
  • Proven ability to navigate a matrix organization structure to influence without direct reporting relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills to represent the company with vendors
  • Well organized - a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work
  • A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo
