Assistant Professor (Neuroscience Track)

The Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences (DDBS), University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy (http://www.sc.edu/pharmacy) in Columbia, SC invite applications from outstanding junior scientists for a faculty position at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor, with primary expertise in the field of neuroscience.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, post-doctoral training and a significant track record of research accomplishments. The candidate will be expected to develop a strong, extramurally funded and nationally and internationally recognized research program. Successful candidates with research interests that complement the departmental research programs that focus on drug discovery or the mechanisms of drug action in the CNS will be given priority. The candidate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills and be expected to participate in graduate and professional education, with an emphasis on neuropharmacological topics. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
