Postdoctoral positions available in a genetics lab in Orlando

A research lab with emphasis on molecular biology and neurochemistry is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to study neurodegenerative diseases using genetically engineered rats as relevant models for motoneuron disease, frontotemporal dementia, and Parkinson's disease. Candidates who have received adequate training on molecular biology, neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, or mouse genetics are invited to apply. Preferences will be given to candidates who are familiar with two or more of the following techniques: histology, neuropathology, stereological cell counting, RNA sequencing, RNA in situ hybridization, Northern blotting, RNA immunoprecipitation, and 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis. The laboratory is located in the new research building at University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
