Two Postdoctoral Fellows

Two postdoctoral fellow positions in molecular biology/biochemistry and physiology are available immediately to study the role of calcium channels in modulating cellular function and its alterations in diseases.  We are particularly interested in identifying the role of calcium channels in stem cell biology, salivary gland physiology and oral cancer.  Our ongoing studies are focused to examine the effect of cellular calcium homeostasis in neuronal and non-neuronal cells (complete details could be obtained from our website:  https://www.uthscsa.edu/academics/dental/faculty/profile/5070NBLVY/Singh,-Brij-B

A multidisciplinary strategy is being used in our studies, which includes biochemical, molecular, genetic techniques as well as functional studies involving electrophysiology and calcium imaging.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in molecular biology/biochemistry or physiology with some experience in stem cell biology and/or physiological techniques.  Candidates should have no more than two years of post-doctoral experience.  Familiarity with working with animals will be an advantage.  Please send the detailed CV along with names of 3 references to:
