Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Internal Medicine and the John Ritter Research Program in Aortic and Vascular Diseases in the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. We are seeking an outstanding epidemiologist or genetic epidemiologist who will lead and support population based clinical research related to cardiovascular disease, including congenital heart disease and vascular diseases. Responsibilities include oversight and analysis of clinical and genetic data from established cohorts, the development of an extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program and active participation in medical and/or graduate education. Appointments will be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, based on qualifications of the applicant. Qualifications include an earned doctoral degree in epidemiology, medicine, genetics, biomedical sciences, biostatistics, bioinformatics or related field, peer-reviewed publications, a track record or strong potential for external funding, and enthusiasm for collaborative research. McGovern Medical School is a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and is located within the Texas Medical Center, which also includes Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
