Professional Educator of Biology
The Department of Physical & Biological Sciences at Western New England University seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure, three-year renewable instructor position in Biology beginning August 26, 2019. This is a 9 month position.
Candidates will be expected to teach 12 credit hours per semester of introductory biology and microbiology lectures and laboratories for engineering and science students, and to help with coordinating the introductory biology labs. Ability to teach elective courses in our Health Sciences program and experience with inquiry-based labs would be considered a plus.
A candidate must submit a cover letter, a current CV, and a teaching statement. A candidate must also submit the names and contact information of three references that can comment on the candidate’s teaching. Official transcripts of all course-work in higher education are required, but unofficial transcripts are acceptable during the initial application. Review of applications will begin May 1, 2019 and continue until the position is filled.
