Postdoctoral positions are available at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, University of South Alabama. The lab projects focus on RNA splicing, epigenetic regulation of transcription and non-coding RNAs in various human diseases. We seek motivated postdoctoral fellows to continue previously well-developed projects in brain tumors, leukemia/hematopoiesis and neurodevelopmental disorders (Kim et al. Molecular Cell (2016) 61:859-873, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26990989 ; Kim et al. American Journal of Human Genetics (2016) 99:711-719, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27545680).
Candidates should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree and have strong hands-on experience and knowledge in analyzing genetically modified mice (knockout/transgenic mice), tumor xenograft models, molecular biology and genetics/genomics. Candidates with prior experience in mouse models of brain tumors and leukemia will be preferred.
