Position Summary

The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow. The T Cell Therapeutics Research Laboratory (TCTRL) overseen by Stephen Forman, M.D., is a fast-paced lab involved in cutting edge technology, research and clinical immunotherapeutic programs. The TCTRL currently has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow who will develop chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies and other immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer. The postdoctoral candidate will ideally have expertise in the field of protein engineering, particularly with experience engineering antibodies or other binding moieties. Experience with yeast surface display or other display technologies (e.g. phage display, ribosome display, etc.) is required. This position will interact and collaborate with a team of research scientists with similar interests in developing T cell therapies.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required;
  • Research experience in the field of protein engineering and proficiency using yeast surface display or other display technologies; a publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Ability to effectively develop a project in a translational research environment in order to successfully meet project goals.
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of IND submissions, grant applications and scientific publications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
