Position Summary
The T Cell Therapeutics Research Laboratory (TCTRL) overseen by Stephen Forman, M.D., is a fast-paced lab involved in cutting edge technology, research and clinical immunotherapeutic programs. The TCTRL currently has an opening for a staff scientist who will develop chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies and other immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer. The candidate will ideally have expertise in the field of protein engineering, particularly with experience engineering antibodies or other binding moieties. Experience with yeast surface display or other display technologies (e.g. phage display, ribosome display, etc.) is required. This position will interact and collaborate

with a team of research scientists with similar interests in developing T cell therapies.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
The Staff Scientist must possess, at a minimum, the U.S. equivalent bachelors or masters degree in an appropriate discipline, and will often have a Ph.D. or other doctoral level degree.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Ph.D degree with research experience in the field of protein engineering and proficiency using yeast surface display or other display technologies; a publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Ability to effectively develop a project in a translational research environment in order to successfully meet project goals.
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of IND submissions, grant applications and scientific publications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
