The Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Therapeutics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences is engaged in a multi-year program of expansion and currently invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.  Highly qualified candidates are sought to complement the Department’s existing strengths in molecular pharmacology, radiation biology and neuropharmacology. Successful candidates are expected to develop vigorous independent, extramurally-funded research programs and actively participate in graduate and medical education.  Applications are encouraged from individuals engaged in all areas of pharmacology research. Experience with current research approaches in molecular signaling mechanisms, behavioral pharmacology, drug discovery, immunopharmacology or pharmacogenomics will be particularly welcome. The University provides generous research start-up funds and full salary support.  Strong interdisciplinary graduate programs in Neuroscience, Molecular and Cell Biology, and Emerging Infectious Diseases allow ample opportunity for involvement in graduate education.   

The Uniformed Services University is located on the campus of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, adjacent to the National Institutes of Health and in close proximity to the biotechnology corridor in suburban Maryland.
