Assistant/Associate Professor of Immunology

The Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at Penn State University, University Park Campus, is seeking talented applicants for a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor Position in immunology. The successful applicant will establish an extramurally funded research program and teach in the Immunology and Infectious Disease program.

Applicants must have a PhD in Immunology, microbiology or related disciplines. Expertise in mucosal immunity and microbiome is highly desired, but excellent applicants with expertise in other aspects of immunology will be considered.

Candidates should have three years of relevant postdoctoral experience, success in attracting extramural funding and an outstanding record of accomplishment in immunological research. Candidates at the Associate Professor levels should have an established, well-funded research program.

The Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences is the home of the Center for Molecular Immunology and Infectious Disease, which brings together more than 20 researchers from inside the department and from other departments who study the immune system and infectious disease. In addition, the university maintains a Gnotobiotic facility and a ABSL-3 small animal facility.
