Duties and Responsibilities

This position is an exciting new academic appointment that will be jointly held between UCL’s London Centre for Nanotechnology and the Department for Biochemical Engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and the new member of staff will be directly affiliated to the £11M i-sense EPSRC Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) in Early Warning Sensing Systems for Infectious Diseases, one of three national EPSRC centres of excellence in sensing systems www.i-sense.org.uk).

The person appointed will be responsible for the initiation of new research areas; working collaboratively and to share coordination of complex research programmes; becoming a key partner in new national and international funded collaborations; and managing research proposals for such funding. The person appointed will also be required to teach students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. This will be through a selection of lecturing, tutoring, classwork demonstrating, project supervision, and laboratory demonstrating.
