The Director, NIAMS, provides leadership, vision, and direction for a nationally recognized program, with responsibility for formulating and implementing plans and policies necessary to carry out the Institute’s mission.
We are looking for applicants with a commitment to scientific excellence and the energy, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking necessary to lead within a dynamic and diverse organization. Applicants must possess an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in the biomedical sciences and have senior-level research experience and knowledge of research programs in one or more scientific areas related to arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases.
