Lynn University is seeking a Population Biologist for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences. The duties of this position will primarily be to design and teach undergraduate courses in both the Biology major, and in Scientific Literacy within the university's thematic core curriculum, The Dialogues. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in the Biological Sciences, with a focus on one or more of the following fields: Evolution, Molecular Evolution, Population Genetics, Ecological Genetics, Ecological Genomics, Population Genomics, or a related field in Population Biology.
At Lynn University, faculty actively contribute to curriculum through course development as well as teaching. Faculty also advise and mentor students from various major programs and liaise with campus offices for the benefit of students. Faculty are expected to offer professional and scholarly contributions and to actively participate in service to the University and local community. Additionally, expanding on the University's longstanding citizenship, cultural, and career preparation programs, faculty are often encouraged to collaborate with the newly developed Social Impact Lab. The Social Impact Lab was established to generate positive impact, both locally and globally, through sustainable concepts.
