Assistant or Associate Professor of Anatomy

The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology of Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences invites applications for two tenure or non-tenure track, full time (12 month) faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidates must have an earned Ph.D. with a specialization in Anatomy, broadly trained (e.g., four field Anatomy), or a related field; previous experience teaching in a medical school; proficiency in instructional technology; interest in teaching collaboratively; and a record of excellence or strong evidence of potential as an instructor and extramurally-funded scientist. Postdoctoral research or professional experience will be regarded positively. The successful candidates will be based at the OSU-College of Osteopathic Medicine-Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They will participate in team teaching via telepresence in Gross Anatomy and Neuroanatomy concurrently with the faculty based at the OSU-COM campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The successful candidates will teach the laboratory part of these anatomy courses, however, in new facilities located on the OSUCOM-CN campus. The candidates may also be expected to participate in summer anatomy courses and teach graduate courses in their area of expertise.

At least one reference should be able to address the candidate’s experience or potential for excellence in teaching and teamwork.
