Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Cancer Biology

Loyola University Chicago-Stritch School of Medicine

The Department of Cancer Biology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) invite applications from both basic and physician scientists for multiple tenure-track positions at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE or full PROFESSOR level. We seek innovators to advance cancer-focused studies that can integrate both foundational and clinical investigations as part of Loyola University Chicago’s initiative to significantly expand its nationally recognized cancer programs in partnership with Trinity Health. We are looking to recruit tenure-track research faculty to join our newly created Department of Cancer Biology, whose research efforts will integrate with our clinical oncology strengths in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and laboratory research programs in the areas of Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Signaling, and Cancer Epigenetics & Gene Regulation. Complementary research areas might include investigations focused on oncologic processes and mechanisms, cancer cause and/or prevention and therapeutic discovery. Departmental research areas, resources, and facilities are described here: https://ssom.luc.edu/oncology_institute/.

The Stritch School of Medicine is a strongly collaborative research environment with substantial core facilities and integrated graduate education programs. Faculty responsibilities include sustaining an independent, externally-funded research program, and contributing to graduate and medical education. Candidates should have a PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree, a strong record of research publications and current extramural research support. Review of applications will commence immediately and applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.  Interested candidates are required to complete an online application including the submission of CV, cover letter, and contact information for at least 3 references.  For the Department of Cancer Biology positions, please use the following link: http://www.careers.luc.edu/postings/4734.
