Description

We are looking to hire an outstanding scientist to lead our ophthalmology research efforts within the Immunology Discovery Department of our Research Organization. 

We seek a scientist with expertise in retinal biology and ocular disorders to lead our research efforts focused on retinal diseases and their treatment. We are looking for leaders in the field who have demonstrated their excellence by successfully leading independent research groups in academia or industry for at least 5 years. The successful candidate will continue to lead the field in the discovery and interrogation of pathways and processes involved in a wide range of eye diseases, and will lead clinical programs that aim at developing first-in-class and best-in-class therapies. Leveraging our rich datasets from completed and ongoing clinical trials, and in vivo, in vitro, and ex vivo model systems, she or he will have the opportunity to discover and characterize novel biology with the goal of developing innovative therapies. A particular emphasis will be on developing and using regenerative therapies for diseases in the retina.


Who You Are

Qualified candidates will hold a doctoral degree in a medical or biological discipline, and have a track record of success as an independent researcher as illustrated by a strong publication record, authorship on patents, grant support, mentorship, and other tangible success metrics.
