The Department of Biological Sciences at SUNY Plattsburgh invites applications for a full time Lecturer effective August 2019. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and service in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education. They should also demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues. Responsibilities Include: The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory courses on a rotational basis, as well as upper level courses in the areas of molecular biology, developmental biology, cell biology, genetics or related fields. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include student advising, departmental and university service. The successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.

Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree with a broad background in cell biology, developmental biology and/or genetics. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching experience and demonstrated teaching ability.
