Postdoc researcher

Dr. Zhiqiang Qin’s laboratory at University of Arkansas Medical Science (UAMS, Little Rock, AR, USA) is seeking a highly motivated scientist at the postdoctoral level to be part of the fast-growing research team studying viral oncogenesis research especially using Kaposi’s sarcoma associated herpesvirus (KSHV) as a model pathogen. The position will involve experimental in vitro research with mammalian cell lines, biological pathway analysis, gene cloning/editing/transduction, genomic analysis and animal in vivo study. Proficient skills in the following techniques is desirable: human cell culture, DNA/RNA extraction/sequencing, genetic cloning, RT-qPCR, CHIP, western blot, fluorescence/confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and mice handling. Experience in CRISPR and RNA-Seq analysis will be a plus. We especially encourage fresh Ph.D graduate to apply this position. Successful candidate is expected to have excellent oral/written communication and problem-solving skills.
