Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty Position in Microbiology
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center seeks highly qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates must hold a PhD and/or MD (or equivalent) degree in microbiology or a related discipline and should have a strong record of published research in microbial pathogenesis and/or host-pathogen interactions. Current research funding, such as a K award or Research Project Grant from the NIH, or the equivalent, is required. The successful candidate will be expected to lead a strong research program, teach at the graduate level (including to health professional students) and serve the academic community.
