The Center for Brain Function and Repair of the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We are seeking a candidate who uses in vivo, large-scale calcium or voltage network activity imaging with single neuron resolution to investigate mechanisms of brain network function.  Ample opportunity exists for collaboration with Chicago Medical School scientists using electrophysiological, genetic, and molecular methods to study neural circuits and investigate animal models of brain injury, stress, addiction, and neurodegenerative and psychiatric disease.
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is a graduate-level health sciences university situated on an 85-acre campus in North Chicago, near Lake Michigan. As one of six medical schools in the Chicagoland area, there are ample opportunities for collaboration with other neuroscientists in the region.

The Medical School recently reorganized its researchers into six Centers, which will occupy a new 100,000 sq. ft. building in September of 2019. The three Centers focused on neuroscience collectively comprise the Brain Science Institute (www.rosalindfranklin.edu/research). The Medical School has just initiated a new hiring phase, anticipated to include up to 10 tenure track positions over the next five years. This position will be academically affiliated with the Discipline of Cell Biology and Anatomy, and physically located with the other laboratories of the Center for Brain Function and Repair.  As a Medical School faculty member, the position will involve teaching and service activities, in addition to research.
