A Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Science

The Department of Environmental Health Science in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor. The appointment is an academic year (9 month) appointment with the opportunity to supplement salary through external grant funding.

We seek applicants with a strong academic record in teaching, research, and service in the area of environmental health with a focus on studying adverse health effects of environmental chemical toxicants on animals and/or humans via integrative –omics technologies. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in a discipline related to environmental health, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular toxicology/epidemiology, or related areas. Preferred qualifications include: excellence in teaching and working with students, evidence of ability to submit strong (fundable) extramural grant proposals, ability to produce and communicate research, and at least two years of postdoctoral training. A commitment to cultural diversity is expected. The successful candidate will be required to teach two undergraduate courses and one graduate course.
