Job Details
Lilly Neuroscience is seeking an experienced scientist to join the Neurodegeneration team to facilitate its mission of discovering novel medicines for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other related neurodegenerative conditions. Do you have a strong background in performing/designing in vitro and in vivo studies? Have you developed or optimized biochemical assays required for the evaluation of neurodegenerative studies in vivo? You will lead a laboratory focused on developing small molecule therapeutics in close collaboration with other Neurodegeneration laboratories and Lilly's chemistry and biotherapeutic engineering divisions. An important focus for you will be the investigation of the role of misfolded proteins (tau/alpha-syn) across multiple disease states. Additionally, you will have access to many technical specialty groups within Lilly to facilitate their research. You should possess a deep understanding of the pathophysiological processes that underlie neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer and Parkinson's diseases. Are you a strong leader that maintains excellent communication and organizational skills? Lilly has a proud record of drug development for Neurodegenerative diseases that has been led by multiple accomplished scientists.
