McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track, Research Assistant Professor faculty position in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to discover and translate advances in the biochemistry and molecular biology basic research field, and model the best practices through research, teaching, administrative activities, and other service.
The candidate identified for this non-tenure track Assistant Professor faculty position will be expected to initiate and collaborate in a directed research program(s), i.e., successful publications, grant application collaboration, and representation at scientific meetings. He/she will also assist in training new laboratory members and trainees.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate for the position must have a Ph.D. degree. Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery and service, have potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise, and share an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
