Associate/Full Professor, Microbiology and Immunology

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Penn State College of Medicine and the Penn State Cancer Institute invite applications from established mid-career or senior scientists engaged in basic and translational studies of cancer immunology and cancer immunotherapy research. The successful candidate will have an established, nationally/internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program focused on innate or adaptive cancer immunology with the potential to develop novel approaches for cancer immunotherapy. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interactive group of basic science and clinical investigators with expertise in disciplines including immunology, virology, oncology, metabolomics, genomics, and drug discovery (http://med.psu.edu/microbiology and http://www.pennstatehershey.org/web/cancer/research). State-of-the-art core facilities are available to support cutting edge research in live cell, single cell and genomic analysis and a high-performance computing facility is on site to support big data analytics. Faculty will be expected to participate in the teaching and training of graduate and medical students and contribute to the scientific and educational programs within the Cancer Institute.
