The School of Life Sciences has a strong track record in research and educational outcomes, and encompasses the areas of biomolecular and medical sciences, environmental sciences, plant science, marine biology, immunity and infectious diseases, and biotechnology. These arenas are allied to several Institutes and Centres that intersect across the Faculty and the University, driving an interdisciplinary approach to research and education. 

UTS is seeking an outstanding new Head of School to further enhance the opportunities and outcomes for the School and University. Working closely with the Associate Heads of School, Discipline Leaders and Faculty Executive colleagues, the Head of School will lead the academic strategy development and its implementation in the School in line with the University’s ambitious new UTS 2027 Strategic Plan, and champion quality and excellence across the range of academic programs, research and engagement. Supporting and developing staff and leveraging opportunities for growth through excellent relationships with stakeholders will be important in this position.
