Postdoctoral researcher to develop novel single-cell genomics technologies and applications
The Pachter Lab at Caltech is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop novel single-cell genomics technologies and applications. The postdoctoral researcher will interact on projects with other members of the Pachter Lab (http://pachterlab/github.io/group/) and will collaborate with other labs at Caltech. Specifically, the Pachter lab has been developing and deploying low-cost, high-throughput applications of single-cell RNA-sequencing including sample multiplexing, multi-modal scRNA-seq, and targeted sequencing. These are being applied to answer fundamental questions in neuroscience and cancer.
Preferred candidates will have a broad background in protein/nucleic acid biochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry genomics, microfluidics, bioinformatics experience, and demonstrate interest in developing novel experimental systems. Candidates should send Curriculum Vitae, list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, and names and contact details for three references, to lsledd@caltech.edu.
Caltech is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
