POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN CARDIOVASCULAR BIOLOGY
There is a Senior Fellow position available immediately to study molecular mechanisms of cardiac growth and epigenetics for an Ph.D./M.D. or equivalent. The Senior Fellow will work on a project that investigates the control of cardiac proliferation and role of histone/DNA methylation in normal development and disease. Candidates should be highly motivated and have demonstrated experience in histology, molecular biology, or cell signaling. Experience with mouse husbandry is preferable as the project could involve the use of genetically engineered mouse models.
Broad interdisciplinary training for all fellows in the laboratory is facilitated by a rich institutional environment at UW with a weekly seminar series in cardiovascular biology, diverse other departmental seminars, course work if desired, and other career-development activities such as grant-writing and funding seminars.
