Postdoctoral Research Scientist

The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to study the molecular genetics of kidney diseases in humans and mouse models. The projects will employ state of the art genomics and bioinformatics approaches (exome, whole genomes, RNA-seq, DNA microarray) in humans and animal models to identify susceptibility genes for kidney failure.  Applicants should have prior experience in genetics, bioinformatics, developmental biology and/or programming to handle large Next-Gen sequencing datasets.

All applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD, excellent oral and written communication skills, advanced organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
