An NIH-funded position for a Research Fellow is available within the Lipid Metabolism Unit/Endocrine Division at the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology. As a member of the laboratory of Dr. Michael L. Fitzgerald, the position will focus on mechanisms of cardiovascular disease risk and innate immune biology. This position will use mouse models atherosclerosis and will involve functional and epigenetic profiling of the monocyte/macrophage lineage and their myeloid precursors.

Successful candidates for this position will have a PhD, MD or MD/PhD with experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Coding experience in Python/R would be particularly helpful. Strong written, communication, and organization skills, as well as a high level of motivation are required.
