Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology

The New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) is the largest academic dental institution in the United States. NYUCD is a vital and growing research institution committed to education of the next generation of clinicians and scientists. The Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology at NYUCD is seeking a faculty candidate with expertise in teaching Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
Responsibilities include: coordinate and team teach courses in the basic sciences to students from a range of healthcare related disciplines; teaching and engaging in basic and/or healthcare related research, which should complement established research programs in the college including Craniofacial and Bone Biology, Cancer, Tissue Engineering, and/or Infectious Diseases; and institutional commitment to the University, College, and Department.
Appointment will be tenure track or tenured at the Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor rank. NYU has excellent possibilities for collaboration with engineering and physical scientists at New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering and the new NYU Bioengineering Institute.
Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree and may be able to conduct an independent research program. Prior teaching experience is required. In addition, a documented history of academic accomplishments in the area of teaching, research and scholarly activity is desirable.
