Job Details
The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Director of GXP Systems, the Senior Engineer, Laboratory Systems will lead the design, development and implementation of analytical laboratory systems software supporting chromatography, microbial and bioanalytical testing. This role will be play a key role ensuring data integrity and supporting interfaces with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Here's What You'll Do:
- Design and deploy laboratory analytical software packages such as Chromeleon, VITEK, Pyros, as well as laboratory data integrity software
- Lead project delivery, coordinating multiple vendors and aligning cross-functional projects
- Develop and implement analytical data strategy for structured and unstructured data generated with Quality Control and Analytical Development laboratories
- Support and sustain laboratory analytical software including second-tier break/fix support, continuous process improvements and routine system updates
- Define requirements and assist with technical design of integrations between laboratory analytical software and LabVantage LIMS
- Assist with the creation of GMP computer system deliverables including user requirements, system specifications and validation test scripts
- Partner with laboratory analysts to assist with development of procedures and processes to ensure efficient usage of technology
Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor degree in biology, chemistry or another relevant academic discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting laboratory analytical software
- Understanding of industry trends in data integrity and laboratory compliance
- Experience with Chomeleon, LabVantage, LogiLab Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) or similar technologies
- Experience with computer systems validation practices (GAMP)
- Familiarity with cloud based technology including Amazon Web Services is a plus
