We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow. We have identified novel mechanisms mediating intravascular cell-cell interactions under thromboinflammatory conditions, including arterial thrombosis, ischemia/reperfusion injury, and sickle cell disease (Li et al. JCI 2014; Barazia et al. Blood 2015; Kim et al. Blood 2017; Li et al. Circulation 2019). The fellow will study the role of thiol isomerases and their signaling in regulating platelet and neutrophil functions using the state-of-the-art techniques including, but not limited to, real-time fluorescence intravital microscopy, gene knockdown/editing systems, confocal/FRET/TIRF microscopy, flow cytometry, and animal disease models.

The candidate should have

1. a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree

2. previous experience in both confocal microscopy and mouse disease models (preference: thrombosis or stroke models)

3. excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and

4. first author papers in peer-reviewed journals

The fellow should be eligible for employment in the U.S. Start date is immediate. Salary range is commensurate with experience. This is a non-tenure, benefit-eligible position. For the consideration, please email 1) a statement of career goal (limit: 1 page), 2) a CV (limit: 3 pages), and 3) contact information of 3 referees (email address and phone number) to
