Candidates are expected to mentor and advise graduate students. Communication, creative leadership, congeniality, and the ability to work cooperatively among a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, industry and agency groups is essential in our department and university. Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Weed Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agroecology, Plant Biology, or a closely related discipline and are expected to have research experience in weed-crop interactions, weed population dynamics, population genetics, herbicide-weed interactions and/or precision agriculture. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and publishing. Salary: Competitive, commensurate with background and experience. An attractive benefits package is available. Application: Review of applications will begin on February 18, 2019. Questions may be directed to Mary Barbercheck, meb34@psu.edu or John Wallace, jmw309@psu.edu. Consistent with Penn State policies, the faculty member is expected to comply with all relevant policies, maintain high ethical standards, and participate in professional service and/or outreach.
