Job Summary/Basic Function
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate the repertoire, specificity, transcriptome and function of salivary gland and blood lymphocytes in the systemic rheumatic disease Sjgren's syndrome with the goal of increasing understanding of disease pathogenesis. The successful candidate will receive training in retroviral TCR transduction, TCR deep sequencing and single cell RNA sequencing. Training opportunities for single cell RNA sequencing data analysis will be available but not required. The candidate will interact with other post-doctoral fellows and scientists working in the area of Sjgren's syndrome and other rheumatic and autoimmune diseases within the Arthritis and Clinical Immunology Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or DVM/Ph.D.

First-author publication(s) in internationally recognized journals in the fields of immunology and/or molecular biology. Experience in basic approaches of cellular immunology and molecular biology. Motivation and ability to keep abreast of the current literature as well as his/her own experiments. Willingness to interact with other members of the laboratory in a way that raises the scientific excellence of the whole group. Excellent scientific writing and oral presentation skills.

Minimum Degree Required Doctorate

Preferred Qualifications
An interest in, or experience with, TCR (or Ig) repertoire analysis is desirable, but not absolutely required. Proficiency in tissue culture techniques, cell isolation and flow cytometry analysis; ability to independently plan and implement complex assays; good working knowledge of molecular biology tools and familiarity with cloning protocols; extreme attention to detail; able to multitask.

Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, use manual dexterity, talk or hear; Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or rodent dander. May work with toxic, caustic chemicals, radioactive materials, liquid nitrogen, human tissue or blood. Potential risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to cold 4C, and/or extreme cold -80C from freezers. Noise level is usually moderate.
