ASSISTANT PROFESSOR TENURE TRACK APPOINTMENT

We are seeking an outstanding MD, MD/PhD, or PhD for a position as a research scientist in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Boston Children's Hospital.
Qualified candidates will be capable of running an independent program in one of the broad areas of mucosal immunology, epithelial cell biology, enteric neurobiology, or microbiology related to diseases of the alimentary tract. A focus on innate or acquired immunity, host-microbial interactions, epithelial cell biology and function, the gut microbiome, intestinal structure and function would be highly desired. We are specifically interested in scientists that have the expertise in generating and analyzing large single cell data sets in mucosal compartments. Physician-scientists may be trained in disciplines other than pediatrics.
Candidates should have a NIH-funded research program in place or be well positioned for NIH funding in the near term. Additional duties include teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels and may include clinical practice.
Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School may be commensurate with experience, training and achievements.
