The Department of Biological Science at Florida International University (https://biology.fiu.edu) is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Professor or higher rank position in Animal Physiology. Scientists working on all aspects of animal physiology will be considered; those with funded research working on tropical model organisms are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an externally funded research program, supervise graduate students in our Ph.D. program, as well as teach undergraduate courses in their area of expertise and Human Physiology. FIU has a strong emphasis in tropical biology, and hired faculty are encouraged to engage and contribute to this program. The minimum requirements are a Doctoral degree from an accredited institution, a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service, and active academic research with transferable funding.
