Assistant Professor in Cancer Biology
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking an outstanding candidate for a faculty position in Cancer Biology at the Assistant Professor level. The ideal candidate must have successfully completed postdoctoral training with a strong record of achievement and developed an innovative program in basic cancer research. We seek highly motivated candidates with a commitment to excellence. Individuals studying the role of metabolism in cancer would be of particular interest, as well as outstanding candidates in all areas of cancer research, especially with a focus on lung and brain cancer.
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a world-renowned research and educational institution with programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, genomics and bioinformatics. Located on the North Shore of Long Island 30 miles from New York City, the Laboratory has a rich and successful research environment, including an NCI-designated Cancer Center and an innovative graduate school, the Watson School of Biological Sciences. The CSHL Cancer Center has a strong research program in basic cancer biology, development of cancer animal models and advanced genomic and single cell technologies. Building on these strengths, the program is expanding to incorporate therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Successful applicants will be provided with generous startup packages, and will receive a faculty appointment in the Watson School of Biological Sciences and the CSHL Cancer Center.
