An experienced bioinformatician is required to undertake analysis of large gene expression and other omics data sets that will be generated in the course of a major new research programme investigating the molecular basis of sarcopenia, using the zebrafish and other fish species as model systems.

The successful candidate will have post-doctoral experience in analyzing large global gene expression data sets, including miR and/or lncRNAs. Experience in the analysis of other –omics data sets would be an advantage but is not essential.

The Ingham lab is internationally renowned for its work on the developmental genetics of the zebrafish, and in particular the analysis of skeletal muscle development and Hedgehog pathway signalling. It is located in the Experimental Medicine Building at the Yunnan Gardens campus of NTU, which houses a state of the art zebrafish research facility.
