The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position. The position is grant funded. The successful applicant will use CRISPR/CAS9 technology to develop gene therapy strategies for Dent’s disease, a rare genetic kidney disease. Multiple approaches including molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry and genetic technologies will be used. The WFIRM provides a highly dynamic and collaborative environment to foster scientific breakthroughs.

Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. in the field of cell biology or molecular medicine. The successful candidate should have demonstrated productivity in related fields and have the talent and dedication to take advantage of the vast resources available at WFIRM. Experience in one of the following areas is preferred: animal models, molecular biology, hematopoietic stem cells. Previous experience with genome editing is a plus but not a prerequisite.
