We are seeking postdoctoral fellows to join our team to work on methods to expand the repertoire of human gene editing tools as part of the newly funded Somatic Cell Genome Editing (SCGE) program, which was launched in 2018 with the NIH Common Fund. We are hoping to find innovative scientists that will help us build and develop methods to edit mitochondrial DNA and RNA to help bring therapeutic potential to wide-ranging mitochondrial disease.

Preferred skillsets include: Recombinant DNA technology, molecular biology, tissue culture, mitochondrial biology, protein-RNA interaction.

Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
