Postdoctoral Fellow and Senior Scientist
We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow and/or a senior scientist to perform research in a NIH-funded lab studying mammalian tissue regeneration and inflammatory skin diseases. We recently published a paper demonstrating the role of SDF1, aging, and epigenetics in tissue regeneration in mouse and humans (Nishiguchi et al., Cell Reports). The individual will have a PhD or equivalent degree and experience in developmental biology and gene regulation, including animal models, flow cytometry, CRISPR, core molecular biology techniques (cloning, PCR, qPCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, ELISA), and genomics approaches (RNA-Seq, exome sequencing, ATAC-Seq). The ideal individual should also have experience in skin biology and a strong computation background to analyze data sets from genomics studies. The individual should also be willing to work in a highly collaborative environment to support ongoing projects in the laboratory, train lab members, independently design/coordinate/execute research studies in consultation with the PI, and help in preparing manuscripts, presentations, and grant applications.
