Join the $80 million Molecular Horizons (MH) program, which is the largest UOW project to date. MH has been founded to become a hub of revolutionary medical research and discovery, positioning NSW and Australia among the leaders of the revolutionary molecular biology research.

Dr Tolun has been recruited to the new and exciting MH program as a cryo-EM research group leader. His group uses a multi-disciplinary approach, using biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular imaging and structural biology to answer biological questions to better understand how biological nano-machines work.

The position will perform research using cryo-electron microscopy and will play a key strategic role in building Dr Tolun’s group and the establishment of the University’s new Cryo-EM center under the Molecular Horizons initiative. The position will play a central role in determining the structures of proteins and protein complexes involved in DNA recombination, replication and repair.
