The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, located on Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.) , is requesting applications for an Assistant Professor position in the department of Biomedical Sciences and the new Center for Biomedical Innovation. We seek exceptionally creative, motivated and productive individuals who work at the interface of biology/ biomedicine and computational (including AI) sciences, engineering and robotics. The potential areas of focus may include (but are not limited to) drug discovery, tissue/organ engineering, application of AI and robotics in medical education, diagnostics, and therapy.
Conduct original, innovative independent research.
Participate in teaching of the first and second year medical students.
Mentor medical, graduate and undergraduate students
PhD, MD, or DO degree (or equivalent)
Relevant postdoctoral and teaching experience
Demonstrated ability to conduct original, innovative independent research
The NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) has vibrant and rapidly growing research programs with strengths in neuroscience, cardiology, nephrology, cancer biology, and evolutionary and comparative anatomy, with state of the art equipment and facilities.
