Assistant Professor in Biological and Agriculture Engineering and Assistant Professor in Horticulture Sciences. 

 The Texas A&M Agrilife Center in Dallas is seeking applicants for two research intensive Faculty positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to complement a group of highly interactive faculty members working to improve accessibility of healthy vegetables and transfer of technology.   Research areas of interest include urban agriculture, vertical and roof top farming, hydroponics, aquaponics.   Research must align technology development with government organizations, policy makers, and corporate/industry partners.   Research must integrate basic and applied agriculture to diversity crops grown in urban agriculture settings, including testing new plant varieties designed to grow in controlled environmental agriculture and greenhouses and vertical farms.   Research must innovate solutions for economically viable controlled environmental agriculture.  Preferred experience includes demonstrated success in grantsmanship; industry experience in urban agriculture or greenhouse production systems.  Effective verbal and written skills.  Ability to work both independently and as a multi-disciplinary team member.  Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2018 and continue until a suitable candidate is identified.  All application materials are to be submitted to https://tamus.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/AgriLife_Research_External .
