Postdoctoral Scholar

Two or more postdoctoral positions are available immediately to study gene and protein therapy for retinal degeneration and/or Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) in the laboratory of Rajendra Kumar-Singh, PhD.  The laboratory’s main focus is the development of viral and non-viral gene and protein transfer vectors as well as small molecule drugs for the development of therapies for blindness, including age-related macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, uveitis and diabetic retinopathy. We are currently expanding our research interests towards development of gene and protein therapies for the ocular manifestations associated with EB- a project in collaboration with Vicki Chen, MD.  Only one of the two or three positions is for the study of EB.  Candidates should indicate their specific interest in a cover letter.  Candidates must possess a PhD, are expected to work independently and the positions are best suited for individuals with a strong interest in translational research.  To apply, please e-mail a curriculum vitae to TuftsPostdocAd@gmail.com
