Assistant Professor, Microbiology or Immunology
The Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu) is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position. The primary role of this position will be to support the College’s pre-pharmacy, Microbiology and graduate Molecular Biosciences programs. It is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date for this position is Fall of 2019.
All applicants must have a Ph.D. and relevant post-doctoral experience. Applicants are expected to have a strong publication record, defined research plan for securing extramural funding, and a commitment to teaching and research at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Preference will be given to candidates with a primary research area in Immunology or Microbiology. It is desirable that candidates have prior independent teaching experience and a research area that complements the department’s focus on host pathogen interactions.
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is a private college located in New York State’s Capital Region that offers a pre-pharmacy curriculum in addition to undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Public Health. The College also has graduate programs in Health Outcomes Research, Molecular Biosciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Pharmacy.
