The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Comparative Pathobiology (CPB) invites applications for an Immunologist position.  This is an academic year, tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor rank.  Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent) degree in Immunology or related field  and a strong record of research accomplishments.  The candidate is expected to develop a highly productive research program in the immunology of infectious diseases, or vaccinology. The successful candidate will participate in the newly created university pillar of excellence in the Life Sciences, the Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology and Infectious Diseases (PI4D). PI4D is structured around four program areas: imaging and diagnostics, immunology and inflammation, infectious diseases, and control and intervention.   The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and mentoring of veterinary, medical and graduate students.

CPB has about 38 faculty members and 45 graduate students. Faculty have expertise and research interests in immunology, microbiology, virology, toxicology, parasitology, pathology, public health, epidemiology, Human-Animal interaction, and animal welfare science.
