Postdoctoral Position in Signal Transduction and Transcriptional Regulation at UCLA

A postdoctoral fellow position is available for collaborative project in the Laboratories of Drs. Elaine Reed and Enrique Rozengurt, in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The overarching goal of the research project is to advance understanding of the signaling pathways that regulate transcriptional programs stimulated by HLA class I and HLA calss II in endothelial cells. The Project is attractive as it is highly relevant to design novel approaches to improve the outcome of organ transplantation. The current project focus on YAP/TEAD signaling in promoting the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells challenged with antibodies directed against HLA I and HLA II.  These studies include the mechanistic dissection of YAP and TAZ localization, phosphorylation and the regulation of YAP/TAZ/TEAD genes. In parallel, we are also investigating novel mechanisms of YAP/TAZ inhibition. The position will require an independent, motivated and highly creative and resourceful individual.

A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided. UCLA offers a highly collaborative, stimulating, first-class research environment with access to 92 distinct core facilities. The laboratories of Drs. Reed and Rozengurt are supported by multiple NIH grants and society grants.
